Privacy Policy

Overview

Kingdom Reader is a free Bible study app built by Field's Edge Software LLC. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we collect only what we need to provide the service. This policy describes what we collect, what we do with it, who else can see it, and how to have it deleted. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@kingdomreader.org.

Information We Collect

• Account and identity. You sign in with the shared Field's Edge Software account, the same account used by Hundredfold Home and our other products. That identity service holds your email address and your sign-in credentials. Kingdom Reader keeps its own profile linked to that identity: your display name, your email address (adult accounts only), your reading preferences, and the study content described below.
• Your study activity. Study journeys and the tags you give them, memory verses and how often you have practiced them, your chosen translation and audio voice, and the groups you belong to.
• Command and search text. When you use the in-app command and search bar, we store the text you typed. If you are signed in, it is linked to your account. We use it to measure and improve how well search and navigation work.
• Diagnostics. Error reports and performance traces, so we can find and fix problems. See "How Diagnostics Work" below.
• Device registration, if you turn on notifications. A push token and the platform it belongs to, so we can deliver the notifications you asked for.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not show advertisements.
• We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with third parties for their marketing.
• We do not send anything you type in Kingdom Reader to a language model or other artificial-intelligence service. Search and command interpretation run entirely on our own servers.
• We do not keep household data. Kingdom Reader has no parental controls and no way for one person to view another person's reading activity.
• We do not upload your display settings or the Bible text you download for offline reading; they are stored only on your device. Kingdom Reader does not keep a record of where you left off reading, although a diagnostic trace may note which chapter or passage was opened, as described below.

How Diagnostics Work

• Performance and usage traces are pseudonymous, not anonymous. When you are signed in, a trace carries your account identifier alongside what happened, for example which chapter was opened or which journey was loaded. It identifies your account, not your name.
• Crash reports are not linked to your account. A crash report carries the error and where in the app it happened, the page address, your app version, and your platform and browser details. It carries no account identifier.
• Neither contains the text you type. Search text, command text, journey titles, and tag names are never included in a diagnostic record.
• Both are short-lived. Diagnostic logs and traces are kept for a short operational window, currently no more than 72 hours, and are then deleted automatically.

One Account Across Our Products

Field's Edge Software LLC, creators of Hundredfold Home, operates a single sign-in shared across the products we operate. An account you hold with us works across Kingdom Reader and our other products — you don't register separately for each, and you aren't creating or holding a separate Hundredfold Home account just to be recognized as the same person there.

That sharing is about identity only. Sharing an account makes Field's Edge Software LLC, legally, one data controller across the products it operates — it does not mean your activity in one flows into another. We do not, and will not, use what you read or listen to in Kingdom Reader — your reading history, journeys, and audio activity — for marketing, segmentation, or targeting in Hundredfold Home or any other Field's Edge Software product, and we do not hand that data to those products' marketing, growth, or advertising systems. Our products share who you are. They do not share what you do here.

What Other People Can See

Kingdom Reader has no public profiles, no social feed, and no way to search for another user. Your reading activity, journeys, and memory verses are private to you, with two exceptions, both of which you control:

• Groups. When you join a group, the other members can see your username, display name, and avatar. If you share a journey with the group, its members can see that journey and that you shared it. They cannot see your reading activity, your other journeys, or your memory verses.
• Share links. If you create a share link for a journey, anyone who has the link can view that journey without signing in, and can see your display name as the person who shared it, until the link expires or you revoke it.

Data Storage

Your Kingdom Reader data is stored on servers operated by Field's Edge Software LLC, and connections to them are encrypted (TLS). Your sign-in credentials are held by the shared identity service, not by Kingdom Reader.

Service Providers

Kingdom Reader uses the following services to operate:

• Text-to-speech. Scripture text is sent to a speech-synthesis service we operate to generate audio. No account information is included in those requests.
• Email delivery. We, or the shared identity service, use an email delivery provider to send transactional messages such as sign-in verification and account-security notices. Your email address is shared with that provider only to deliver the message.
• Cloud storage. Generated audio files are stored and served through a cloud storage provider.
• Feedback. If you send feedback, your message and the screen you were on are forwarded to Hundredfold Home's feedback system, which we operate. If you attach a screenshot, it is stored in our asset service for about 180 days.
• Push notifications. If you turn on notifications, your push token is passed to the platform's notification service (Apple, Google, or UnifiedPush) to deliver the message.

Data Retention

We keep your Kingdom Reader account data for as long as your account is active. Diagnostic logs and traces are kept for no more than 72 hours, as described above.

Two records are kept on a different footing:

• A log of the emails we have sent: the address, the kind of message, and whether delivery succeeded. We keep it to investigate delivery failures and account-security incidents. It is deliberately not linked to your account record, and it is kept indefinitely.
• A record of sign-in identity changes: when your Kingdom Reader account was linked to a shared sign-in, and what changed. We keep it so an account's history can be reconstructed after a security question. It is tied to your account record and is removed when that record is deleted.

Deleting Your Data

You may ask us to delete your Kingdom Reader account and data at any time by emailing privacy@kingdomreader.org. Kingdom Reader does not currently offer in-app account deletion; requests are handled manually. We will complete your request within 30 days.

Deletion removes your profile and everything tied to it: journeys, tags, memory verses, share links, group memberships, preferences, device registrations, and stored command and search text.

Two things are not removed:

• The log of transactional emails described above. It has no link to your account record, so a deletion cannot reach it, and it is kept indefinitely.
• Your shared Field's Edge Software account itself. That account is separate from Kingdom Reader and follows its own deletion process; deleting your Kingdom Reader data does not delete it.

Email

We send transactional email only: account-security and verification messages related to your shared sign-in. Kingdom Reader does not send marketing email or newsletters.

Children's Privacy

Kingdom Reader does not offer self-serve sign-up for anyone under 13.

A Household Adult may create a Child Account through Hundredfold Home and allow it to use Kingdom Reader. A parent's action is required to create the child account and to issue its first credential; the child cannot act in a household the parent did not admit them to. The Household Adult accepts Kingdom Reader's terms on behalf of that child.

We collect no more from a Child Account than from any other account, and we do not knowingly collect more personal information from a child than is reasonably necessary to provide the service. Kingdom Reader does not receive or store an email address for a Child Account.

Kingdom Reader holds no household information, so it cannot show a Household Adult what a child has been reading. A Household Adult may contact us at privacy@kingdomreader.org to ask about, or request deletion of, a Child Account's Kingdom Reader data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Each version carries a version number and an effective date. If we make a material change, we will present the updated policy to you for acceptance and record which version you accepted.
